Harry Bates was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on June 6, 1899 from Crawford County, Kansas for burglary. Inmate Walter C. Opry was received at the penitentiary on March 27, 1900 from Lincoln County, Oklahoma for larceny of domestic animals.
