This photograph shows inmates Lee Sisson, prisoner #9338 and Tom Thurber, prisoner #4976. Lee Sisson was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on May 1, 1900 from Cherokee County, Kansas for burglary and larceny. Tom Thurber, who fought in the United States Civil War, was received at the penitentiary on December 15, 1888 for murder.
