This photograph shows inmates, Benj Butler, prisoner #7808 and Edward White, prisoner #6864. Benj Butler was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on June 10, 1896 from Shawnee County, Kansas for burglery. He had served a previous term under prison number 2430. Inmate Edward White was received at the penitentiary on March 27, 1894 from Atchison County, Kansas for burglary and larceny.
