This photograph shows inmates George W. Woolsy, prisoner #8289 and John Blickhohn, prisoner #8636. George W. Woolsy, also known as J.L. Woolsey, was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on October 17, 1897 from Doniphan County, Kansas for larceny. John Blickhohn, also known by the surname spelling Blickhahan, was received at the penitentiary on September 20, 1898 from Ellis County, Kansas for attempted rape.
