This photograph shows inmates James Hall, prisoner #9255 and E. E. Burns, prisoner #9630. James Hall, also known as Richard Roe and Robert Evans, was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on march 13, 1900 from Osage County, Kansas for attempted burglary. Inmate E.E. Burns was received at the penitentiary on January 7, 1901 from Noble County, Oklahoma under false pretenses.
