This photograph shows inmates Ezra Burris, prisoner #8507 and James H. Baker, prisoner #7741. Ezra Burris, also known by the surname Burns, was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on March 26, 1898 from Montgomery County, Kansas for murder. Inmate James H. Baker was received at the penitentiary on April 4, 1896 from Cowley County, Kansas for forgery and arson.
