To his Excellency.

Gov. St. John.  Sir:  I write you at this time not to inform you how your particular friends, went back on you and gave away the party in Ness Co. and by having a mortgage of $115 on the Pioneer Press stole it in my absence and turned it over in Greenbacks hands on purpose to defeat the Party in Ness Co.  They failed and we have the material until law decides.  You have perhaps read the papers.-  I have my business to settle up, including the state printing you were kind enough to furnish, and which no doubt the state will pay.  Will you be so kind as to call the attention of your secretary of state to the matter, and have the vouchers sent to me.  As I am in great need distressed for money to use in a few days could you or some one advance orderd the money and discount it, it would place me under lasting obligation sure that you

who have just reason to be proud of your western supporters will do all reason demands my bill amts to near $115 and I shall be crushed if compelled to wait for the whole amount do what you can, send vouchers to me personally -  Frank Shelden "Ed Pioneer"
