This is a panoramic photograph showing members of Alpha Kappa Alpha and Kappa Alpha Psi at regional meetings in Topeka, Kansas. Kappa Alpha Psi is a collegiate Greek-letter fraternity with a predominantly African American membership and was founded on January 5, 1911 at Indiana University at Bloomington. Alpha Kappa Alpha was the first Greek-lettered sorority established and incorporated by African American college women. The sorority was founded on January 15, 1908, at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
