This photograph from 1963 shows the Tecumseh Chieftains, a youth baseball team that competed in the Babe Ruth League. Batboy Dick Dodson is seated in front of the players. Behind him, seated in chairs, are (l to r): Bill Reynolds; Ron Hasty; Charles Roberts; Bruce Hill; Phil Shoemaker; Gary Warthen; and, Larry Monroe. Standing are (l to r): John Triggs (coach); Les Witter (coach); Bob Gilbert; Robert Walker; Glen Rice; Ricky Singer; Clarence Payne; Robert Flohrschutz; David Mohler; and, Lee Dodson (manager). The team's record was 15-8. Digital reproduction of the photograph was accomplished through a joint project sponsored by the Kansas Historical Society and the Shawnee County Baseball Hall of Fame.
