Hiram Hill Esqr William burg
Dear Friend Your favor of July 12th came duly to hand - I always open your letters with pleasure – you speek the feelings of Old Mass –
Your letters cary my mind to that house where I have spent so many happy hours on the hill, built by a Hill – near Williamsburg Mass – I love to think of you – and yours – while we are all deprived of our most common rights. I really believe that we shall get through these dark times by next spring – I will be contented if we can have what is our due – even then.
But we are not againe to submit to as much as we have done – Some of our folks rather [die?] within [xxx] week than live as we have the last two – The Georgians are killing and stealing then when we go after them they flee to the camp of United States Troops – share plunder and thus our protected – are our worst Enemies.
I have no heart to Speek of what is going on here –
