This is a postcard showing Justina Penner Peters who was born September 18, 1842 in Prangenau, Molotschna Colony, South Russia, and died December 28, 1920 in Liberty Township, Marion County, Kansas. She married Gerhard Peters on September 11, 1862. They immigrated via Antwerp, Belgium on the ocean liner the S. S. Netherland and arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 25, 1875. They traveled west by railroad and arrived in Marion County, Kansas where they settled on a farm two miles southwest of Hillsboro. Gerhard and Justina joined the Gnadenau Krimmer Monnonite Brethren Church in 1876. The Peters had ten children, six sons and four daughters.
