Here are letters written by William (Bill) Lloyd Lamb to his family while he served in the Korean War. Lamb, a member of the United State Army, Company G, 180 Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division, was a recipient of the Silver Star and Purple Heart. A newspaper article published in The Blue Rapids Times, September 18, 1952, provides details of the heroic act, which resulted in Lamb receiving the Silver Star and Purple Heart.
