Gov. JP St John

My dear Governor,

Allow me most sincerely to offer my warmest congratulations on your successful re-nomination- there is no man in this state who is more grateful for the results than myself - & sincerely trust it will be confirmed in November together with the Amendment-

Our County Temperance Annual Convention meets in this City on Wexdnesday Sep 22nd - and as it is essential to make it a pronounced success, that we have speaker from abroad, I have been requested to write & ask you to consent to be present & address the Convention

if it be possible   I wish you would try & accept - as we expect many delegates from the Country & I think an address from you at this crisis - would be of advantage in our coming election - We would also like to engage the services of Mr. Baine, or Arbuckle - can you assist us - How is the Amendment progressing - Let me hear fom you favorably

Your friend  W.A.S. Blewett
