This photograph from the late 1950s is of the Cardwell Drillers youth baseball team in Wichita. The team was sponsored by Cardwell Manufacturing Company, a manufacturer of oilfield drilling equipment. Adults standing to the left of the players are Harold Slattery of Cardwell Manufacturing, Louise Berndsen, and Mrs. Moore. Adults on the right include an unidentified man and Mrs. Goldinger. Players standing in the back, nearest the building, are (l to r): Steve Phelps; Gary Grey; David Olendorf; Bobby Moore; _____ Goertz; and, Tommy Lee. Standing in front center is Mark Berndsen, the bat boy.
