This is a photograph showing Virga McKinley with her daughter Virginia on the Kansas State capitol dome balcony. John W. McKinley, from Mullinville, Kansas, often brought his family to Topeka since he was a secretary for the Federal Land Bank in Kiowa County. On this trip, Vigra, Virginia and William J. walked up the dome steps. Virginia was probably carried by William J., her oldest brother. The photograph was taken by a camera borrowed from O. J. Johnson of Mullinville, Kansas.
