Dear Gov.  The temperance people of this City, as well as your many friends here are very anxious to have you address them on the subject of temperance.

On Sunday evening Feby 15th there will be a grand Union temperance meeting in this City - in which all of the church will unite - provided you will agree to be present.  At a meeting held in this City to-day, I assured the audience that you would come, and you must not disappoint us.  Let me know by return mail if you will come on that day & we will make all necessary arrangements.  Also let me know on what train you will come, I know that you will

meet with a cordial reception and be welcomed by your friends and Co. labores in the cause of temperance.

I urge upon you to come - my word is out that will come,
