E.N. Ruddock to Governor John St. John

Item Description Bookbag Share

Speareville 30th Jan  80

Dear Governor

I have just learned that the Post Office building at Hodgeman Center is burned up and considerable mail matter also.  Post Master told me there was a letter for me from Topeka he thought it was from you,  Circumstances are peculiar,

My P.O. Address is Speareville and I received a letter from you here so I do not know whether my thing has been sent me there by you.  I suppose it would have been directed here (Speareville) if it were from you.  Should be glad to learn about it.

Yours truly   E.N. Ruddock

If you have not sent a letter within a few days to me to Hodgeman Center you need not take the trouble to answer this, (it may be my papers from Bro Starrs)
