These three photographs show Dennis Tietjens' barn located on 205th Road near Robinson, Kansas. It was originally built by John Dickenson in 1861. It is a three bay 30' x 46' structure built with hand hewn timber from trees harvested in the area. The river rock used to build the barn was gathered from Atchison and hauled to the Dickenson property. The lower level was used for horses and mules, the second level for grain and hay, and the third for ears of corn. The Dickenson farmstead remained in the family until 1979. The barn was featured on the 2010 National Barn Alliance Brochure.
