This photograph from a glass plate negative shows a formal portrait of an unidentified family. Their nationality is unknown but the young woman is wearing a belt that has swastika designs on it. Many southwestern tribes like the Hopi and the Navajo used the swastika symbol to represent various meanings in their respective cultures.
