This is a letter from Hercules Price, Napa County, California, to John C. Baird, Vesper, Kansas. Price writes about the Battle of Summit Springs, which took place in northeastern Colorado on July 11, 1869. Price had been in contact recently with the brother of a woman who was killed in that battle. The brother asked Price where her remains were buried.
