A letter to the "Colored People of the State of Kansas" from the Executive Committee of the Kansas Half-Century Negro Exhibit Association. The letter tells of the half century anniversary of freedom that blacks have had from slavery and that an exhibit will be held in Chicago, Illinois. The committee asks for exhibits from the public that show the "advancement" of the black race.
