This photograph of John Henry "Doc" Holliday, was taken, possibly, when he was in Tombstone, Arizona. Holliday graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Dental Surgery in 1872 at age 20. He came west to find a better climate to treat tuberculosis and opened a dental office in Dallas, Texas. Because of the disease, some of his patients were reluctant to use his services, so Holliday found it more profitable to gamble. He became friends with Virgil, Morgan, and Wyatt Earp and developed a reputation as a gunfighter. Eventually, Holliday moved to Tombstone, Arizona where he and the Earps were involved in several altercations including the famous Gunfight at OK Corral. He died on November 8, 1887 at the age of 36.

Date: Between 1880 and 1887
