Ruben Bruntz was inducted into the Army (Infantry) in 1944 and served in the 79th Infantry. Interviewed by Clint Bain on Apr 23, 2007, Bruntz talked about military experiences in the Second World War. Bruntz was drafted into the Army in September 1944 and did his training in Arkansas. He served in France and Germany. He was born May 25, 1925, in Bazine, Kansas, and graduated from high school in 1943. His brothers Ed and Sam also served in the Army. The 2005 Kansas Legislature passed a bill funding the WWII Veterans Oral History grant program. This transcript is from one of the community institutions receiving grants.
