In this letter to Governor Schoeppel, Opal Lobb of McLouth, Kansas, asks the governor to intervene on behalf of Kansas soldiers who have served in Europe. Arguing that "these boys have done their share and deserve to remain in America," Lobb contends that they should be not be sent to Japan as part of the American occupation force.
