In this letter to Governor Schoeppel, Ira Howard of Gaylord, Kansas, argues that returning veterans from World War II must be given a fair chance at employment after the war. In fact, Howard contends that "thousands of veterans are returning home each month now and I wonder if we are going to sit back and see them pushed around the way they were in this case."
