This black and white photograph shows a view, taken from a nearby hill, of Matfield Green, Kansas. Named after an English community in England, it is located in the heart of the Flint Hills Region. For a time it was a railhead for shipping cattle along the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company.

Date: Between 1886 and 1919
