This political postcard shows Kansas Governor Mike Hayden and Kansas' First Lady Patti Hayden with Win Priddle and Republican candidate for Lt. Governor Harland Priddle. A native of Haven, Kansas, Priddle served as assistant secretary of the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson, Kansas, 1975-1978, before being elected the ninth secretary of the Kansas State Board of Agriculture, 1982-1987. In 1987, Governor Hayden appointed Priddle as Kansas secretary of commerce, 1987-1991. As secretary of commerce, Priddle played a key role on the Governor's Task Force on Rural Communities before accepting the Republican nomination for Lt. Governor.
