To the Hon. Geo Hodges            Governor of Kansas.

Topeka Kansas.

My Dear Sir:

I understand that the question better known as the [underline Jim Crow Law] Jim Crow Law will be voted on in your state this fall and that you are very much in favor of its passage.  I believe that if this question was properly handled and understood by the people Jim Crow cars would be running in and out of Chicago and New York.

I inclose a leaflet which will describe a new book of which I am the writer and if you desire it I will send you a free copy.  I firmly believe that if the good people of Kansas understood who the negro is, the law would be passed without opposition

I am a lecturer and I offer my worries either as a lecturer at large or I will be glad to present the question before the General Assembly this fall.

You can address me here at my Northern office which is Baraboo Wisconsin.

Resp.

Charles W. Waddell
