This sepia colored photograph shows a group of students and their teacher standing in front of the District #67 dugout school, between north and south Randall, Kansas, on the east side of township 27-9-31 in Thomas County, Kansas. The school was established September 22, 1887 and the last term was taught in 1918-19. The school year was six months long and the teacher received $30.00 per month in wages. From left to right the students are identified as follows: James Blake, Nola Hirt, Lillian Hirt, Earnest Haynes, W.A. Nagle Engelhardt (teacher), Molly Sharp, Gerson Hirt, and Roy Haynes.
