This photograph shows an exterior view of the Drug Store in Mound Valley Kansas. The signs on the store also advertise groceries and provisions. This store is identified as the first store building erected in Mound Valley in 1873. Several people are seen posing in front of the store for the photograph, including seven men and four women. The third woman from the left is also holding a small child. The man second from the left appears to be holding a rifle. Two saddled horses are also visible in the picture.
