Perrin enlisted in the National Guard in 1939 and served until 1945 in the 216th Field Artillery Battalion, 35th Infantry Division. Interviewed by Marian Poe on Jul 21, 2006, Perrin talked about military experiences in the Second World War. The 2005 Kansas Legislature passed a bill funding the WWII Veterans Oral History grant program. This transcript is from one of the community institutions receiving grants.
