This is a family portrait of the children of Franklin G. and Harriet C. Adams. The girls, from left to right, are Margaret, Harriet E. and Zu (Azubah). The boys are Paul, Samuel, and Henry. Franklin G. Adams was the first secretary (executive director) of the Kansas State Historical Society. Most of the children grew up in Topeka, Kansas.
