A photograph showing flood water that had twice submerged the waterworks in Lawrence, Kansas. The photograph accompanied a letter from George West Maffet, Lawrence, Kansas, to Governor Arthur Capper. The letter relates his concerns about the pollution of the Lawrence water supply. The photograph was removed from Governor Arthur Capper's records, Box 8, General Correspondence, Numerical File 184.
