This campaign pamphlet promotes newspaper publisher McDill " Huck" Boyd as the Republican candidate for Kansas Governor. As the publisher of the Phillips County Review and advocator for rural development, he was instrumental in bringing the world's first cooperatively- owned oil refinery to Phillipsburg, KS. He helped establish the Mid States Port Authority, a railroad line used by farmers and businesses to ship their goods. Twice a gubernatorial candidate, he represented Kansas on the Republican National Committee for 20 years until his death in 1987.
