It has been awful hot yesterday 102 in our dinner room.

we have 500 bushel on the 400 acres we have out a new tracter on our hands it makes one feel like giving up, but we'll stick just the same. If you feel like you want to come out, you come if not we will send you your share of money when the adjuster has been here. Most of the fields were just about 50 to 75 but we were the hardest hit my dad poor man I feel so bad & he so old. had 3 inches of rain in a few minutes & a most terrible wind, sincerely Edna H.

Some fields farther south are averaging about 12 bu. one man told us yesterday that he cut 20 a. & got 100 bushel, it rained so hard Friday he could not get in the field till today & said he feared there would be nothing to cut, on acct of hoppers.
Had another blow last week this place sold so a move for us.
