This pamphlet, written by Nathan Cree, an attorney and Democrat in Kansas City, Kansas, examines issues related to the Pullman strike in Chicago, Illinois, that began in July, 1894. Cree quotes articles from the New York Daily Sun as the source of his information, and then responds to the events described in those articles. Cree believes the use of injunctions deprived workers of their liberty and that the injunctions were used to expand the powers of the military in a domestic setting. Cree was affiliated with the Populists. The original document is extremely fragile and small portions of its pages are missing.
