This is a photoraph of Kansas Governor Alfred Mossman Landon, 1887-1987, in a reviewing stand between two unidentified military men. Landon was the Republican party's presidential candidate for the 1936 election and this event may have been a part of his campaign activities. Landon was defeated by a landslide vote cast for incumbent President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
