This business card from attorney H.J. Alvord indicates that he was well-versed in dealing with Indian depredation claims. These were predominantly claims filed by Euro-Americans living in the West against Native Americans for crimes they allegedly committed in the years following the American Civil War.

This postcard represents the second Kiowa County Courthouse in Greensburg, Kansas. Construction on the Neoclassical style building began in 1920. The structure features a flat roof and Doric columns. The glass-block windows were replaced after suffering damage from a EF-5 tornado on May 04,2007. The facility still serves as the county courthouse of Kiowa County, Kansas.

This New Year's card shows the Doran homestead, built in 1859. The illustration by Bolmar depicts a weatherboarded log cabin, the homestead of Frank and Mary Doran, Neosho township, Morris county, Kansas, birthplace of John L., Thomas F., Emma and Ella Doran. The card is signed by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Doran and addressed to Paul Horvey.

A short appeal by Benjamin Singleton stating "Let us live together as a Band of Brethren and become united, & stand in the Statutes of honor before this Enlightened people and God." After the Civil War and Reconstruction, Singleton led many southern African American's to Kansas in hopes of a better life.

This painted Christmas card by Richard Richard, illustrates a building at the Shawnee Indian Mission in Fairway, Kansas. Identified on the back of the card as the West Building at the Mission. Printed inside the card is an explanation of the Mission and its history along with a holiday greeting. In 1968, the Shawnee Indian Mission was declared a National Historic Landmark and has since been under the operation of the Kansas Historical Society.

This pass, issued by the Smith Automobile Company of Topeka, Kansas, provides one H. F. Harbough with a complimentary tour of the factory through the end of 1909. The pass is signed by the president of the company, Dr. L. Anton Smith. The Smith Automobile Company built cars in Topeka, Kansas, from 1902-1911.
