McCoy), an unidentified ranch hand, Mr. Johnson in white shirt near the barn's open door, Jeptha Charles (J. C.) McCoy on horseback near the corral, an unidentified ranch hand, Robert Franklin (Frank) McCoy, and another unidentified ranch hand.

The L. W. (Leslie Winfield) Halbe photo collection consists of 1500 glass plate negatives produced by Halbe during his teenage years. Halbe lived in Dorrance, Russell County, Kansas, and began taking photographs of the region with an inexpensive Sears and Roebuck camera when he was fifteen years old.

Information provided by a patron states the photograph was taken on top of a water tower that used to exist at the end of Stephens Street. The water tower was beside 20th street by the railroad tracks. The photograph was shot looking south east. The street running left to right is Clark Street and the street on the right side of the photograph is 20th.
