Hardesty, George E. Harder and Nick Easton. According to the back of the photograph, Bud Driskill's family drove 65,000 head of cattle in twenty-one herds to Dodge City in one season

A letter from the Chicago Soldiers Colony in Collyer, Kansas, to Governor George Anthony. The group asks the governor to send a military detachment to the area to help prevent cattle drivers and their cattle from passing through the area. The group says that the cattle causes damage to the crops and that the herders are outcasts of society and should not be allowed in the area.
