Many of the photographs show business districts and buildings. The panoramics were created by taking individual photos and taping them together. A small pamphlet with photographs and statistics for members of the Topeka Owls baseball team and information on and photographs of KJAY radio announcers, including Merle Harmon who became a nationally known sportscaster. In 1949, the Owls baseball team was a locally owned team and played in the Western Association league. Kansas players on the team included Jack Bell, Salina; Johnny Bulkley, Reading; Jack Dean, Harveyville; Alec Grieves, Burlingame; Bob Lee, Topeka; Dick McConnell, Topeka; Jerry Neimitz, Marysville, Dick Pahmahmie, Mayetta; and Ed Wilson, Topeka.

Santa Fe lime special

The Lime Special was operated by the Santa Fe Railway in cooperation with the Kansas State Agricultural College and the Kansas State Board of Agriculture. It was scheduled to operate July 9--17, 1928. Five cars of exhibits were available along with a series of lectures. The quote at the bottom of the poster was "MORE LIME, MORE LEGUMES, MORE CROPS, MORE PROFIT."
