Abstract of deed information concerning the Bernie Lantry Ranch in Chase County, Kansas. The Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve includes much of the land that was part of the Lantry Ranch. The original document is owned by the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve.

These fifteen photographs show Adaline Beedle Sorace, author of Addie of the Flint Hills, at various periods in her life. The first photograph is Addie at age sixteen. While the next four images have her attending nursing school at Bell Memorial Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. Images six through ten show Addie with her friends from Matfield Green, Kansas, and a view of the high school in Matfield Green. Images eleven and twelve show Addie with unidentified friends. The last three images have her with members from the Jr. Century Club in Matfield Green.

This glass plate negative shows inmates A. E. Townsend, # 6125 and Orville W. Terwilliger #6129. A.E. Townsend, also know as C.F. Mason and Albert Thompson, was received on December 07, 1917 from Harvey County, Kansas for grand larceny. Orville W. Terwilliger, also know as Carl Johnson and Harry Robison, was received on December 08, 1917 from Chase County, Kansas for burglary 2 and larceny.

This black and white photograph shows Albert Rogler and William Crouch hauling slop to the sow pens on the Rogler Ranch in Chase County, Kansas. The pens were on the south side of the big hedge fence about 200 feet south of the Rogler house.

This is a photograph of Alfred and Elizabeth Springett Mercer who came to the United States from England with their seven children. The family settled in Cottonwood, Chase County, which later became Strong City, Kansas.

This photograph shows Almeda Harrison's graduation from Riley Rural High School in Riley County, Kansas. Almeda was involved through her high school in the Girl Reserves of the YWCA. She attended the YMCA's Camp Wood near Elmdale, Kansas where the organization sought to enrich the lives of young girls through "healthy living and social responsibilities."

The one-story "prairie style" station features a hipped roof with a semi-hexagonal operator's bay and a matching bay at the waiting room end. The depot is no longer in use, but has been boarded up to protect it from vandalism.
