This oral history interview with John Stadler, Stevens County, describes his experiences during the dust bowl of the 1930s. He devotes much of the interview to reminiscing about how these dust storms interrupted the daily routines of those living in western Kansas. Stadler worked for the local gas company, and he also supervised the drilling of 443 wells near Hugoton. Copied from Dust Storms as Remembered by Hugoton Citizens.

This letter was written by a special assistant of the State Bank Commissioner to E. A. Sinclair, Doniphan County Oil & Gas Company, Troy, Kansas. The letter acknowledges receiving the listed Doniphan County Oil & Gas Company's stock certificate numbers, the stockholders' names, and the number of shares owned by each person that were submitted to be held in escrow by the Bank commissioner to comply with the recently passed Blue Sky law.. Also, the letter states that the Doniphan County Oil & Gas Company cannot refer to the Blue Sky Board, Charter Board, or the Banking Department in their advertising.

This letter was written by W. E. Pepperell, Secretary, German-American Oil & Gas Co., Wichita, Kansas to W. F. Benson, State Bank Commissioner, Topeka, Kansas. The letter contains a list of German-American Oil & Gas Company's stockholders, the certificate numbers, and the number of shares owned by each person that are being submitted to the Bank Commissioner to be held in escrow to fulfill requirements of the recently passed Blue Sky law. A note on the letter indicates the stock was in a transfer file and the permit was cancelled on February 4, 1920.
