This large two-story wood-framed house is located at 507-511 East Sherman in the Houston Whiteside Historic District in Hutchinson, Kansas. The District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

This photograph represents the Colonel's house at Fort Hays in Ellis County, Kansas. Designed in a colonial style the house can be seen with trees surrounding it with no leaves and two men and two women on the front lawn. Fort Hays was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
