These cattle stand in the Brookover Feed Yard in Garden City. Established by Earl Brookover in 1951, this was the first commercial feed yard in the Midwest. Brookover pioneered the approach to cattle feeding and has remained an industry leader.

The panoramics were created by taking individual photos and taping them together. The photographs are arranged alphabetically by subject and then location. The subjects included in this part of the collection are feedlots, festivals, fire stations, forts, geological formations, golf courses, and grain elevators.
