These legal documents relate to the case of the Kansas Territory vs. John Donaldson. Donaldson was accused of rescuing prisoner A. G. Fisher from the custody of a law enforcement officer on November 6, 1856 in Douglas County, Kansas Territory. Donaldson was indicted in November of 1856 by the First District Court of the Kansas Territory. Donaldson was arrested by Marshal I. B. Donalson on January 30, 1857 and released on bond January 31.

These legal documents relate to the case of the United States versus David Downing. Downing was accused of harboring horse thief A. E. Blythe on July 1, 1858 within the Cherokee Neutral Lands, present-day Crawford and Cherokee counties, in the Kansas Territory. According to witness Lafayette Shamblin, Downing hid Blythe in a thicket near the Spring River. Downing was arrested on August 26, 1858.

Date: warrant June 28, 1859
This bench warrant and bail bond relate to the charge against David Bailey for aiding and abetting a fugitive to escape in 1859 in the Kansas Territory. The First District Court of the Kansas Territory in Leavenworth issued a bench warrant for Bailey on June 28, 1859. Bailey was apprehended and released on bond on July 9, 1859 with the provision that he return for trial during the September court session of 1859.

These legal documents, including a warrant and bond, relate to the case of the United States vs. George Boyle for aiding an escaped fugitive in the Kansas Territory. A warrant for Boyle's arrest was issued by the U. S. District Court of the Kansas Territory, First District, on June 28, 1859. Boyle was arrested and released on bond July 8, 1859.
