This series from Gertrude Ackerman, who was a member of the Kansas Day Club along with other political organizations in Kansas, includes correspondence regarding addresses given to Kansas Day Club events. In her correspondence, Gertrude Ackerman writes to former secretaries of the Club, individuals who addressed the Club, and Club members and their family and friends in search for copies of addresses. Her goal of acquiring copies of the addresses was to bind them into a published book, reflecting on the past fifty years of the Club. Responses to her letters either provided her with positive feedback of addresses being sent to her, contact information for individuals who may have addresses, as well as the unfortunate news that addresses cannot be found or have been destroyed over the years. This series of correspondence is part of a bigger collection from Gertrude Ackerman.
