Here are five photographs of Kenneth Eugene Conklin, Jr. and Cynthia Jeanne Tilson on their wedding day. They were married at the Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka, Kansas. Their parents are Dr. & Mrs. Kenneth Eugene Conklin, Sr., and Mr. & Mrs. Bill F. Tilson, She is wearing an azalea silk dress. The bride designed and created her wedding gown and going away ensemble. The couple later divorced and she married Richard Dean Rogers.

Two photographs of Cynthia Tilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill F. Tilson, Atchison, Kansas. She grew up in Atchison, Kansas, graduated from Atchison High School and Washburn University with a B.A. degree in home economics. Cynthia taught home economics at Jardine Middle School in Topeka, Kansas from 1969-1971. She returned to Washburn University in 1981-1982 and received her certification in Vocational Home Economics Education. In 1984-1985 she was a job placement specialist for chronically mentally ill and severely disabled persons of the Kansas Elks Training Center for handicapped Projects With Industry. Later in 1985, she took a job placement specialist's position with the Menninger Return to Work Center. In 1987 she received the outstanding Kansas Job Placement Specialist by the Kansas Job Placement Division of the Kansas Rehabilitation Association. In 1989 she was named to the National Distinguished Service Registry. Cynthia is married to U. S. District Court Judge Richard Dean Rogers.

A photograph of Cynthia Tilson at the Ellsworth County extension office. Cynthia applied and was accepted into the Kansas extension's summer training program. She worked with 4-H groups and other youth as a junior assistant county extension home economist. After the completing the training program, she returned to Washburn University where she was pursuing a degree in home economics education.

A photograph showing Cynthia Tilson Conklin Rogers accepting the National Distinguished Service Registry award for her contributions to the rehabilitation profession. Rogers worked as a job placement specialist at the Menninger Return to Work Center in Topeka. The job placement program offered assistance to people who were entering the work force for the first time as well as those who were returning after a work related illness or injury. She was the regional representative of the job placement division to the National Rehabilitation Association in 1988-89. Rogers received the Outstanding Kansas Job Placement Award in 1987 from the Kansas Rehabilitation Association.
