Set of 28 wooden blocks covered in lithographed paper, and stored in a box made to resemble a U.S. Mail wagon. Blocks are flat, thin, rectangular pieces of wood covered in colorful printed paper. Some sides display the alphabet, and others (when properly arranged) display text and illustrations for the following nursery rhymes: Bobby Shafto's Gone to Sea, Bonny Lass Bonny, Hush A Bye Baby, and Little Bo-Peep. These blocks were made by the R. Bliss Manufacturing Co. of Pawtucket, Rhode Island in the 1880s. Sisters Lizzie Kunkel Robinson and Emma Kunkel bought the blocks for their respective daughter/niece, Marie Robinson Abels.
