This is a painting by Henry Worrall. Born in 1825 in Liverpool, England, Worrall came to Kansas in 1868 for health reasons. A self-taught artist, he became a regular contributor to eastern journals, such as "Harper's Weekly" and "Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper." Worrall's illustrations have been described as "journalism in pictures."
